As we reel from the impact of the global economic disaster still unfolding around us, we instinctively yearn for leadership to provide reassurance, solutions and hope. Will this yearning be fulfilled by political leaders or from a new source? Is Ireland endowed with leaders of sufficient quality to dig us out of this hole? Who has the necessary qualities? Should we not be very wary of “strong leadership” given the murderous history of such leaders responding to economic crises?

These questions and many more will be addressed by our panel which includes, among others, Labour Party leader, Eamon Gilmore ; business leader and Dragon’s Den star, Sarah Newman; and SIPTU General President, Jack O’Connor . As ever, you the audience will be the extra panel member with your comments and questions from the floor throughout.

As always there’ll be muscial satire from Paddy Cullivan , standup comedy and a brand new film from Derek O’Connor of The Chancer and Ian Whelan.
