Surely the best way to grow the economy is to get people spending again. This will not happen whilst they are being subjected to increasing levels of taxation: why not make spending on home extensions, renovations and decoration etc. tax allowable expenses.To qualify you must source your materials locally and use local crafts-people and registered contractors.
If the Government increase taxes further they will suceed only in driving the \’black economy\’ and the road to Newry will be clogged with people taking even more money out of our economy.
