Everybody I speak to is disgusted with the response of the government
To the central bank’s Governor’s call for a full investigation into the total destruction of the Irish Banking system
You were elected to serve all of the people, not just a select few!
Having lost our jobs, our pensions, our Homes, and our belief in the political system
We now want to see this full investigation and not some toothless expensive tribunal
There must be prosecutions forthcoming
The biggest calamity that befallen the Irish state cannot go unaccounted for
People want answers and they want them now!
Do you Job and support the Central Bank‘s Governors call, Support the people!

I sent an email to Galway West TD’s last night, I will ask everyone I know to do like wise, feel free to cut and paste and use. I know Tim has being encouraging people to get in touch with TD’s and I now agree it’s useful. This and education about what’s really going on

Hi David,

A bit late coming to this one but you already had an article about Insiders and Outsiders and my reply to the topic is as before:

MK> The Insiders versus the Outsiders, I’m not sure if Irish society is demarcated so black and white as such. But power begats keeping the powers that be and the ‘institutions of the state’ intact AT ALL COSTS.

And some of these could be seen as the School Principal, the local clergy, the local Chamber of Commerce, the Rugby club, the Banks on the high street, the local TD, etc, etc. Thats what Lenihan is doing with NAMA, supporting the banks at all costs.

Yes, that NAMA help mainly helps the people that are “Inside”, the BMW owners in south Co.Dublin, etc, etc, but others as well and people that probably not too long ago were deemable as “outside”.

Inside implies a circle that cant be breached (ala the politburo) and that is not the case.

Ah sure the plain people of Ireland shurely couldnt understand the big issues of Nama, government debt, and our “Great Leaders” ala north korea will shurley do what is right and decent, etc. Wont they???? Whether you feel you are inside or outside ….

The problem with socialism, democracy, dictatorships and everyother form of social control; the human factor, our frailties, weakness,opinion,bigotry,sexism and all points in between.
I would agree with the premis of Bank nationalisation, but also the nationalisation of of all the states resources and taking back semi-state status from others ie; bord gais esb cie the list goes on. These can be used as developemental tools to accelerate economic growth, by forward loading infrastructure, creating growth hubs linked with a road, rail, telecom/broadband, making this country attractive to knoledge based industry. Its all well and good having brilliant graduates but if theres no tools for them to work with whats the point.
The Nationalised State Utilities will be headed by people of the calibre of Patrick Honahan at the Central Bank who are thinkers and not afraid to speak up. The National good should be at the forefront of everybodies mind we are a small state, a young state, we inheritated a system and a civil service that was oblivios to the needs of the people and subserviant to its self and still is, there are good people within the system but are held back by the system its self.
A new political force is needed to balance the books and to give the people, the majority of people in the country who have no political leaning one way or another to have a real franchise, at the moment you can go down the independant route and risk being a voice in the wind depending on electoral results or you can join a mainstream party and be held back and unheard because of policy and dogma.
There is the bones of a new party coming togther AMHRAN NUA.IE it looks good, it has an emerging web site, which gives some food for thought.
Lets fight the good fight and press together for a better IRELAND and figure out how we will pay for it.

and i thought i was a lonely voice, the incompetant political class are incapable of admitting any wrong doing, or telling us the truth about the real figures and facts, or do we have to wait for a whistle blower and a half awake journalist to blow this NIGHTMARE ON MOUNT ST wide open. in the mean time the only way forward is through subdefuge and joining FF and attacking and changing from within.
