Price Transparency

Have the state require all the major retailers to give read access to their pricing systems so that 3rd parties can develop sites and services to allow consumers to know before leaving their house where is the cheapest place to do the weekly shop this week.

Expecting people to drive from shopping centre to shopping centre to compare the prices of Tesco, Dunnes, etc when they could simply do the comparison before loading the kids up in the is a massive waste of time and a hindrance to real competition in the grocery market. Kelkoo and the like do it for electronics, we have sites for insurance and other products. Why not the weekly shop?
