Everyone by 6pm was trashed and headed off into town each time - I felt like the fly on the wall on "Workers gone Wild" video that you could shoot. Do we all just drink so much since we can't stand those we work with. If alcohols a crutch - everyone I work with was in a wheelchair the morning after My Xmas parties (3 due to the matrix effect) have all started at 1pm – and while I enjoy a drink – I don’t drink during the day.

Everyone by 6pm was trashed and headed off into town each time – I felt like the fly on the wall on “Workers gone Wild” video that you could shoot.

Do we all just drink so much since we can’t stand those we work with.

I think something similar should be provided along the M50 during the Christmas Office Party season. Stands could be sponsored by people like Solpadeine, Levitrol, the manufacturers of do-it-yourself breathalysers and the Garda Traffic Bureau. Medication could be handed out and people could be given shoulder massages as they wait in the traffic. Perhaps there is an opening here for the guys who sponge your windows while you glower at them. If there's no bonus system and the company gives a stingy party, overworks people in December or makes people pay for their own party then there will be bad vibes all round in January. And we cycle to work the next morning dreading the piles of exam papers that will be on our desks! David, it’s not like that in academia!
