Hi well I was searching for shakelton but I got david and this article caught my attention because I have recently bought a new kitchen for a new house

a new house costs the GDP of a fair sized African country to fit out so I have been bargain hunting

I bought a remaindered display kitchen which was 25% of it 'bought new cost' - used top end laminates at a fraction of the cost of granite and small ads ( 'we had bought more than we needed' ) required work tops - and with last years latest thing in electricals - and a utility room included the total is £8k - and thoughtthis is a large room I still think I've overdone it

I was amazed at the one upmanship prevalent in this arena once I began to discuss this with friends - equally they think I am mad to install a second tank to catch rainwater for flushing loos - roll on water charges.

we run a business in this trade and the one thing i am
amazed at is the amount of money people spend on a
kitchen i will give an example we recently did an
extension with and attic converstion for 99k and just in
we are after getting a kitchen for 56k as the customer
want all hand crafted doors i have tried to explain that i
could do the smae kitchen for 20k if she would us an off
the shelve door which is the exact same as the handcraft
door. but she things this is the in thing as her neighboor
just paid 125k on her kitchen more that i spend on my
recent house. it mind blowing the traps people fall in to

regards
